Welcome to Cyrcles. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the Cyrcles app.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Username (if applicable)

Activities You Create

When using Cyrcles, you may create activities and share:

  • Activity title
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • Description
  • Visibility (which circles can see it)

This information is shared only with the audience you choose.

Connections and Circles

We store information about:

  • Your circles
  • Your connections
  • Activity invitations
  • RSVP responses

This allows Cyrcles to personalize your experience and show your activities to the right people.

Contacts (Optional)

With your permission, Cyrcles can access your contacts to help you:

  • Find friends already using Cyrcles
  • Invite friends via text message

We do not upload or store your entire address book unless necessary to provide this functionality.

Device Information

We automatically collect limited information such as:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • App version
  • Crash logs
  • Diagnostic information

This helps us improve app performance.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Show activities shared with you
  • Help you discover activities from your connections
  • Send invitations and notifications
  • Improve the app
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Provide customer support

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We only share information:

  • With people you choose to share activities with
  • With trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting, analytics, authentication, and SMS delivery providers) who process data on our behalf to operate Cyrcles
  • When required by law

Text Messages (SMS)

Cyrcles may send transactional SMS messages so that an account holder can invite friends who are not yet on Cyrcles to join the app and/or view an activity the account holder created.

Activity invite SMS is sent only after an explicit action in the Cyrcles app: tapping "Send to N people" on the invite friends screen after creating or editing an activity. That screen shows a text preview and a Skip option that sends nothing. Message frequency varies and is typically infrequent. Message and data rates may apply.

Recipients may reply STOP to opt out of further messages from Cyrcles, or HELP for help. Account holders can also turn off text invites in Settings → Notifications.

Your Choices

You can:

  • Edit your profile
  • Delete activities you've created
  • Leave circles
  • Remove connections
  • Disable notifications (including text invites)
  • Reply STOP to opt out of Cyrcles SMS messages
  • Request deletion of your account

Who Can See My Activities?

Activities are only visible to the audience you select when creating them.

For example, if you share an activity with your Close Friends circle, only members of that circle can view it. Cyrcles does not make your activities public by default.

Data Retention

We retain your information while your account is active.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period unless we're required to keep certain data for legal or security reasons.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Cyrcles is not intended for anyone under 18 (or the minimum age required in your country).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you within the app or by other appropriate means.
